Hi, I’m Rohail, the founder of Chat French! I created Chat French for learners who already understand French but don’t get enough opportunities to actually speak it.
I grew up in Ottawa, ON in Canada, and after years of studying French and a lot of trial and error, I was able to successfully achieve fluency in the French language. I became comfortable speaking in informal and also professional environments. What I realized throughout my years of learning French as a native English speaker is that real progress in communication in the language doesn’t come from textbooks, or memorizing grammar drills — it comes from conversation and immersing yourself in the language.
